Coming-out party on european soil of Bennedict Mathurin, probably the best NBA prospect currently based out of Latin America. The explosive Canadian has been developing at the NBA Academy facilities of Mexico City [CONADE], and was a roster invite with the NBA Academy Global on their first tour to Europe and Spain. The academy played at the famous Torneig L´Hospitalet where they were crowned champions, beating FC Barcelona in the finals. The 6´6 (2002-born) perimeter player is a tour-de-force on the court. Intense on both ends of the court, boasting NBA level athleticism already, an improving three point shot, versatility finishing at the rim and big potential on defense as a 3&D wing. Hailing from Quebec, Canada, with Haitian roots, the 2021 class recruit was being courted by the likes of Arizona, Oregon, Baylor, Alabama, and other high-major NCAA schools, and decided on attending the Tucson program coached by Sean Miller.
